Rodent Damage in Loft
It is common to find mice in your house during the colder winter months, and often the first sign of mice or a mouse infestation is seeing chewed wires or insulation. We had a call from a client in Warwick who had gone into their loft and found this rodent damage:
The Solution: Mouse Pest Control and Prevention
We were able to get to our client later the same day, and quickly established that the damage was being caused by mice. A mouse pest control program was started the straight away, and we returned to the property seven days later. Upon further investigation we were able to report that the mice had been exterminated and the pest control program could finish.
Mice can get into houses through really tiny gaps, having a flexible skull and being able to squeeze through holes no wider than a pencil. For this reason, it can be difficult to establish exactly how mice are getting into a house. However, we were able to assess the situation and recommend some mouse proofing measures that would help.
Mouse mesh covers over air vents is always a good idea for any property that has needed mouse pest control. We covered all the air vents at the property for our client, to help prevent recurring mouse infestations.
Another useful way to stop mice getting into your house is to fit door brushes to the bases of exterior doors. This will help to stop mice squeezing under the doors and getting into your house. Some of the doors at our client’s house had clear gaps underneath them and again we fitted brushes to stop the mice getting in and help prevent another mouse infestation:
