If you are suddenly noticing bare or bald patches in rugs or carpets, or holes in fabrics, clothes or soft furnishings there is a good chance you have a carpet moth or carpet beetle infestation and need carpet beetle or carpet moth pest control.
Carpet beetles are small, flat and mottled brown in colour. Carpet, or tapestry, moths, are small beige moths about 5mm long. Both species lay their eggs on or close to natural fibres such as wool, silk or fur.
Where do carpet moths or carpet beetles come from?
They have adapted to live alongside humans and will often fly into your house through an open window. You might see them on a windowsill before you notice fabric being damaged.
Carpet Moth & Carpet Beetle Pest Control
Before we can treat your home against carpet moths or carpet beetles, we will ask you to vacuum everywhere, empty the hoover bag and clear any general clutter. No one can be in the house during the treatment or for 6 hours after, so morning appointments are recommended. No hoovering treated areas for 21 days after.
