Birds nesting beneath solar panels is a common problem that can lead to expensive damage if left untreated. At Country Life Pest Control, we provide professional solar panel bird proofing services that prevent pigeons and other birds from nesting beneath your solar panels, protecting both your property and your investment.
Bird activity under solar panels can reduce system efficiency, damage electrical cabling and create blocked gutters through the build-up of nesting material, feathers and droppings. Nesting birds can also attract secondary pest problems, including rats and bird mites, resulting in additional pest control and repair costs. Our solar panel bird proofing system uses high-quality wire mesh fixed securely around the perimeter of your solar panels, preventing birds from accessing the space underneath. We offer both bolt-fixed and non-invasive clip-on installation systems that preserve your solar panel warranty while providing long-lasting protection. The discreet mesh system has minimal visual impact and can be removed easily should future maintenance or repairs be required.

Thankyou so much to Darren for his efficient service. I had full confidence in his many years of experience, and obvious expertise.
He recognised my anxiety, and was extremely thorough, calm and reassuring. Also, Country Life Pest Control responded quickly, and it was easy to set up appointments.
Darren brought Connor, a colleague who is learning the trade, and Darren proved a excellent role model.
Thanks again. All greatly appreciated and a job well done.

We had squirrels in our loft and so contacted a company who phoned half an hour before they were supposed to turn up to say they couldn’t come. So I phoned county life pest control who said they would try to come that day, and they did.
Darren was the pest controller who arrived and from the get go he was informative, knowledgable, and very active setting traps and a camera to monitor activity in the loft.
He kept us informed of what was happening in our loft via phone calls.
A hard worker (how gets into the small space to set his traps is beyond me) and a nice guy too. A credit to Country life pest control.
Yes I recommend Country life pest control, and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if needed…..hopefully we won’t have too.

From the very first contact Country Life Pest Control were kind, efficient, and helpful. Martin quickly removed one hornet's nest and one wasp's nest that were causing considerable problems in our roof. I was very pleased with how the work was done. Many thanks.

I contacted Keith yesterday afternoon as I suspected rats under my house. Keith came out within 2 hours, provided bait traps and arranged a second visit. While he was here Keith also checked my loft to rule out they weren’t in there too, thankfully that was all clear. I can’t thank Keith enough for his fast, reassuring excellent service.

Called Country Life Pest control as we had heard scratching in the loft
Keith came out and set 2 Traps and a camera so any movement could be seen and monitored, and see what it was.
He notified us we had a squirrel.
He contacted me today to say it was active again and he actually caught it.
I can only express our thanks to Keith and Country Life for their professionalism and prompt action.
Well done
We have no hesitation in recommending this company
Thanks again

Country Life have been fantastic helping us with a troublesome rat (or few) who were running under our floor, cavity walls and loft. It was an incredibly difficult time but Darren from CL was excellent and persisted until it was resolved. Always prompt, reliable and didn’t take any shortcuts. Unlike other local firms we’d tried who either weren’t interested unless we dug up the floors or just paid a flying visit with a bit of DIY advice and trays of poison. Highly recommend.

I’m not one for posting reviews but this time I must. Last year I had a wasp problem and called Country Life. The next day Keith arrived and although there was no evidence of a nest anywhere in the lofts Keith saw wasps entering a small hole in the brickwork. He smoked the nest through the hole. All good. Great guy, very polite and conscientious.
This year I had squirrels in my loft. Out came Keith again and within a week three squirrels despatched. What a star. I can’t recommend them enough. 5 stars

I can only relate our experience with this company. We have a wasp nest in the loft, called the company and a technician came out. We live in a 3 storey house but surely they have equipment for all eventualities. We were charged £90 and told it wasn't easy to reach. We paid it but after some thought I contacted the company but had no response to my email so I contacted them again through WhatsApp. The lady said she would investigate and after yet another reminder she responded asking me to be kind as the technicians do a good job. Eventually the director contacted my husband to say we had been overcharged. We received £24 as a reimbursement. Wouldn't use them again or recommend the company

Quick, thorough, efficient service to deal with a chronic rat problem we inherited when we bought our house. These folks were the third pest control company we hired, and the first ones to help us truly identify the underlying issue leading rats to keep returning.
They've now got rid of the live population and installed a rat gate in our drains (a one-way valve, basically), so that rats cannot gain access to our property. Hopefully that's the end of it, but if not, I wouldn't hesitate to call Country Life again.
Highly recommend.

10/10 service. From the initial contact the service was fast and efficient and very professional. It was also very impressive. Martin came out to remove a bumble bee hive living in our squirrel house. Turns out it was a honey bee hive. Martin managed to single-handedly detach the house from the big oak tree (not an easy job as it was nailed in and very heavy) and carry it down the ladder. He then sealed the hive and relocated it to a beekeeper in the area. We were very impressed! I would highly recommend Martin and Country Life Pest Control and would definitely use them again for any pest problem.

Martyn’s company provided an amazing service….within an hour of me calling about a wasps nest he arrived and dealt with the issue which was in an awkward to reach part of the chimney. This prompt action allowed the team on site to continue installing a new woodburner and lining the chimney otherwise they would have had to leave the job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company…. I wish more businesses provided the same outstanding service levels. A massive thank you from a very grateful customer! 😊

Discreet Mesh Installation
We install high-quality wire mesh systems using either specialist clips or bolt-fixed systems, providing long-lasting protection with minimal visual impact.
Long-Term Bird Prevention
Our bird proofing systems prevent pigeons and other birds from accessing the space beneath your solar panels, helping to avoid future infestations, rodent problems and bird mite activity.
Why do birds nest under solar panels?
Solar panels provide a warm, sheltered space that is ideal for pigeons and other birds to roost and build nests, particularly during the breeding season.
Can birds damage my solar panels?
Yes. Birds can damage electrical cabling, block gutters with nesting material, reduce solar panel efficiency through droppings and create conditions that lead to expensive repairs if left untreated.
Will bird proofing affect my solar panel warranty?
No. We offer professional bird proofing systems that use specialist clip-on fixings or approved fixing methods designed to avoid affecting your solar panel warranty.
Can bird nests attract other pests?
Yes. Bird nests beneath solar panels often attract rats looking for food and shelter, while bird mites can spread from nests into roof spaces and even living areas. Installing bird proofing helps prevent these secondary pest problems before they develop.
